Americans with Disabilities Act - Accommodations

NCCAOM complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (“ADA”). Requests from qualified candidates with a diagnosed disability for accommodations will be considered if the request is reasonable and properly documented and does not fundamentally alter the examination or jeopardize exam security. Submission of an accommodations request does not guarantee that testing accommodations will be made. NCCAOM will review your request and professional recommendations to determine whether the accommodation is reasonable and appropriate to the testing environment or whether it would fundamentally alter the nature of the examination.

ADA Forms

To request accommodations, submit the appropriate forms for each certification program or provide in writing all the information that is requested on each of the forms. If you require accommodations in the application process itself, contact NCCAOM for assistance via email ADA@nccaom.org.

ADA Accommodations at Pearson VUE

The NCCAOM will consider special accommodations for individuals covered under the Americans with Disabilities Act. In compliance with the Americans With Disabilities Act and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act as amended, (in Canada the Employment Equity Act, Canada) anyone who requires special arrangements at the exam site may be provided auxilary arrangements if the arrangements do not alter the exam or result in an unreasonable burden.
