The NCCAOM is pleased to announce that it has added its second professional development activity (PDA) course available online to all practitioners. “Effective Marketing and Lobbying Through Your National Certification” is a course designed on how to gain the skills to work with the media to promote your certification as well as how to effectively lobby your state legislature to advance the acupuncture and Oriental medicine (AOM) profession. As a bonus, attendees will learn the dos and don’ts in the world of ethics and professional responsibility from the staff liaison of the Professional Ethics and Disciplinary Committee.
Course participants will learn how to be more informed and involved Diplomates and practitioners and learn about the tools necessary to promote their practice. Course participants will get the inside knowledge about how to utilize the NCCAOM and other resources to promote their practice.
The course is taught by highly trained NCCAOM staff who have years of direct experience in public relations, marketing, media relations, and lobbying. Highlights of the course include, writing a press release, reporter interviews, pitching to the media and becoming more involved in the legislative arena. Attendees will participate in several very interesting and non-fictional case studies on legislative, media and ethical issues.
“Effective Marketing and Lobbying Through NCCAOM Certification” is a four-hour course and is offered at only $100. Course participants have access to the course for ninety (90) days: Allowing participants to complete this course at their own pace and schedule. There is a very brief assessment at the end of the course which, when successfully completed, will allow practitioners to receive four CEU/PDAs.
